About the Founder
Marcus L. Davis created Marcus1Media from a deeply personal understanding of both community hardship and the critical need for technological advancement in healthcare.
Growing up in North Carolina, he experienced the challenging blend of small-town atmosphere and big-city issues, including multiple brief periods of homelessness. This struggle instilled in him a profound, lifelong commitment to addressing housing insufficiency and food insecurity.
After his disciplined military service, which provided him with rigorous surgical technology and medic training, Marcus witnessed the high-stakes world of perioperative services as a medical representative, surgical technologists, and sterile processing technician. He saw firsthand the constant frustrations of staff—not in delivering exceptional care, but in navigating inefficient systems and over-complicated technology.

The mission became clear: to build robust, ethical AI and digital solutions that empower the people who help people.

Marcus is a hands-on technical expert grounded in clinical reality. His technical focus evolved to AI and digital strategies, solidified by multiple AI certifications. He realized that technology is obsolete without ease of use, maintaining: "It is not just creating futuristic technology solutions, the education and ease of use is foundational to the technology." His expertise includes a history of teaching and coaching surgical technologists, nurses, sterile processing, and physicians, ensuring that technology enhances care, rather than distracting from the patient.

For Marcus, the social mission is the engine of the company. Inspired by the purpose-driven legacies of companies like Bombas and Newman’s Own, the commitment is secured by the company's founding principle: 50% of net profits are donated to secure housing and food.

The long-term vision is to continually fund multiple housing units and develop Community Land Trusts across the country, partnering with non-profits who maintain deep community trust. Marcus actively serves a few non-profits, volunteering his skills to update their technology so they can serve people more efficiently.
